WHO WE ARE

My name is Barbara, I’m from Trieste and along with my husband Marco, from Sardinia, after having “wondered” several cities (Cagliari, Venice and Bologna), since several years we have happily settled in Milan, growing the family with two children: Filippo 12 years old and Tommaso 8 years old. We have always loved hosting and sharing experience with family and friends from all over Italy and the world. Our bed and breakfast is born precisely to share our hospitality with those coming to Milan for work, tourism or for one of the many events that our city offers every week: we have seen it change year after year, opening up to a more international dimension for events, quality of life and tourism.

“La terrazza di Barbara” (“Barbara’s terrace”), located on the same floor and next to our home, offers 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 single), a living space with tables, coffee machine and kettle. There is a pleasant terrace where you can spend relaxing moments and where, during the warm season, breakfast is served and you can enjoy a plentiful buffet consisting of sweets, biscuits and jams, all homemade and with km 0 products. Pastry has always been a big passion of mine and thanks to the bed and breakfast I can delight myself in cooking different specialties every day, choosing from seasonal products and offering treats from the different regional gastronomic traditions but not only. Thanks to my studies, I am also passionate about art and will therefore be able to give you some suggestions on exhibitions, museums and events that Milan offers during your stay.

“La terrazza di Barbara” is located in the Città Studi area (east of Milan) in the center of the Acquabella district, a residential area with two weekly markets, small shops and social spaces for adults and children. In just a few minutes walking you can reach both the Politecnico in Piazza Piola as well as the specialized hospitals in the area (Besta Neurological Institute and the Cancer Institute). Its position allows you to reach the city center in 15 minutes (Duomo and San Babila, connected by the new underground n.4), the shopping and nightlife streets (Corso Buenos Aires – Porta Venezia, in 15 minutes by foot or with the tram n. 5) and the central station (tram n. 5 or trolley-bus n. 90 in 20 minutes).
